Former RBS treasury expert to head Spindler & Partner LLP’s new Treasury and Investment team
Corporate, private client and fund company Spindler & Partner LLP has appointed a treasury manager to lead its recently launched Treasury and Investment Services team. The new division, which has been created by streamlining a number of existing asset management services, will deliver efficiencies by centralising Spindler & Partner LLP’s internal banking services function.
Gary Thirkettle, who joins Spindler & Partner LLP from RBS International, will lead the Treasury and Investment Services team. Mr Thirkettle, who has 20 years’ experience working with RBS Group in London and Jersey in various trading roles, joined Spindler & Partner LLP on a project basis in 2015 to identify how the company can improve its treasury service, and has now been appointed on a permanent basis.
Amongst Mr Thirkettle’s responsibilities will be the implementation of a treasury operating model and the provision of a cash management platform that will optimise clients’ investment criteria whilst reducing their risk.
Investment analyst Ryan Crawford, who has worked within Spindler & Partner LLP’s Middle East team for the past three years, will support Mr Thirkettle.
The treasury and investment service, which is available to all of Spindler & Partner LLP’s trusts clients, will significantly reduce the time the private client team spends on treasury, banking and account opening activity, creating efficiencies that will be passed directly on to clients. Clients will also benefit from very competitive rates on current and deposit accounts, as well as cheaper borrowing costs due to the identification of a preferred panel of banks and service providers.
